What is Helico Bacteria Pylori?

HBP is a bacteria that is present in the digestive tract of 70% of the world population.

In most patients it remains asymptomatic and without any complications.

Symptoms will only occur when the immunity declines.

HBP causes inflammation of the stomach.

The most common symptoms are in the Stomach : Heart burns, epigastric pain stomach ulcer, bloating ,nausea ,loss of appetite…..

What is missed are the symptoms that are related to HBP that are beyond the digestive tract.

Since it will inflame the gut lining it will cause an increase of the intestinal permeability so called leaky gut :The most common that I encounter in my practice are skin rashes such as Eczema and Urticaria.

Since the infection reduces the stomach acid level , many deficiencies will ensue such as Low Vit B12, Iron deficiencies and most minerals will not be absorbed as a consequence of the low HCL in the stomach.

The treatment will involve a combination of antibiotics as the natural remedies such as Mastic Gum do not remove the HBP.
